21st Annual Holiday Candlelight Tour - This year, Napa County Landmarks' annual tour will begin with a sneak peek of the restoration work completed to date at the Uptown Theater on 3rd Street in downtown Napa. Slated to reopen in early 2010, the Art Deco Theater has been painstakingly restored to its original grandeur. Following a presentation and Q&A session with the Uptown’s owners, the Candlelight Tour will continue by showcasing some of the classic examples of vernacular architecture along the alphabet streets, northwest of town. Judd’s Hill’s Hanukkah Hootenanny: Judd’s Hill Winery is hosting its third annual Hanukkah Hootenanny. There will be entertainment by Meshugga Beach Party and, in Judd Finkelstein’s words, “a latke bar unlike any other,” with accoutrements such as sour cream and applesauce and other exciting toppings created by Pat Burke, the winery’s award-winning chef and national BBQ champion. Wine That Gives Back. 2- 6pm. Rutherford Grange, HWY 29, Rutherford. Description The next stop in the Appellation Series is not an appellation at all. Next month they celebrate wines that give back. Each of the wineries who will be pouring at this event either give a portion or all of their profits back to charity. In addition to supporting charities for kids, the homeless, and to promote literacy, some wineries will be pouring to support the Rutherford Grange. What better gift is there to give then one that gives twice? Wineries will be able to take your order at the event, but please note, all wine will have to be picked up later or shipped since they cannot sell wine at the Grange. $15 per person. $5 of every ticket sale goes back to the Grange.
